Then by boat to Mawamba or Pachira Lodge for overnight. (B, L, D) | | Day 3 | Tortuguero | TORTUGUERO : After breakfast, you will board the riverboat for a 3-hour voyage through the quiet river and canal system that connects it with Costa Rica's rich tropical rain forest. You are likely to glimpse birds of startling beauty, including toucans and brilliantly colored parrots. Costa Rica has more than 800 species of birds, more than all of the United States and Canada combined, and your guide will help you identify them. Then, after a big, family style breakfast transfer by boat and by car to San Jose and to your hotel. Afternoon visit to the Park and guided walk. Overnight HOTEL MONTEVERDE or FONDA VELA (B) | | Day 6 | Monteverde | MONTEVERDE : Morning guided 4-hour walking tour of the Cloud Forest (bring comfortable walking boots or sneakers). Some 6 different ecological systems of flora and fauna, 320 varieties of birds and over 100 of mammals can be found in this area. 45 days or more -full refund less $75 cancellation fee; 44-30 days $100 fee; 29-15 days will be subject to a charge of 60% of total tour cost; 14 days or less -no refunds. |
